The Winam Atlas 160 Manual High Back Chair integrates traditional knowledge with contemporary design

Drawing inspiration from the versatile Pandanus Tree, or Winam, revered in Australian Aboriginal culture for its myriad uses, the Winam Office Chair Series combines tradition with modern ergonomic design.

Historically, the Pandanus leaves were crafted into baskets, mats, and garments, its fruit and seeds served as nourishing food, and its robust wood was fashioned into tools and ceremonial objects.

Celebrating this heritage, our office chairs are designed for durability, comfort, and cultural significance.

YINDI Basalt Black Fabric design was created by Jedess Hudson, inspired by the basaltic rocks which are native to the landscape on her traditional homelands of Ewamian and Western Yalanji country in Far North Queensland as well as many areas across Australia’s landscape.
